| The Easter
Season is a wonderful time as we celebrate and share in the message
of Jesus Christ's resurrection. We hope that you will join us for
worship, or any of the other events throughout this period.
Lent
Easter is the center of an entire season of
the Christian year. The season begins with Lent, a 40-day period
before Easter Sunday. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (February 21 this
year) and West Chester Untied Methodist Church holds a special service (7
PM).
Holy
Week Worship
Palm Sunday ~ March 16
The
9:00 AM traditional worship service will feature the Cherub Choir,
Junior Choir and Chancel Choir and the dramatic reading of the Palm/Passion
story. The
10:30 AM contemporary casual worship will feature special music and
the dramatic Palm/Passion story.
Maundy Thursday ~ March 20
Thursday,
6:00 PM of Holy Week we will take part in a Simple Dinner in the Fiesta Center and celebrate
Holy Communion. A light meal will be served. Music will be led by
the Chancel Choir.
Good Friday ~ March 21
Our church will hold a 7:00 PM solemn
Tenebrae service
(service of darkness) as we remember the final hours of Jesus’
life. A cappella Vocal Ensemble.
Easter
~ March 23
Celebrate
the Resurrection
The Chancel Choir, Cross Connection, The Carillon
Choir
and the Worship Orchestra in the 9:00 service.

the 10:30 service
