Missionary Salary for the Person's
When you support
mission, it extends our ministry in the community and world.
Below are mission
projects our church supports. When you share an additional contribution to
your regular offering, it helps us support ministries that serve low
income persons at home and around the world. On your envelope, for the
mission offering indicate the number mission project that you would like
to support and the amount of money you would like designated. You may give
at anytime and we encourage all members to designate mission offerings on
the third Sunday of the month. the number next to the mission project is
also the month we emphasize that particular project, for example number 4
we highlight in April.
January – Human Relations
Offering helps to strengthen relationships between people of different
races and community development in ethnic neighborhoods within the United
States.
February - Good Neighbors Housing
supports the efforts of our church members that repair houses in our
community.
March - One Great Hour of Sharing supports the Untied Methodist
Committee on Relief (UMCOR) respond to natural disasters domestically and
around the world.
April – Golden Cross Offering provides support for low income seniors
at nine retirement centers in our region operated by the Untied Methodist
Church.
May – Youth Mission Trip helps to send out junior and senior high
youth on mission trips each summer.
June – El Buen Samaritano supports the Latino Congregation that we
helped start and meets in our church on Sunday afternoons.
July – Missionary Salary supports the Persons, a missionary family
we support in Africa.
August – Church of the Open Door, a new congregational start in the
Kennett Square area.
September – Children’s Center Scholarship helps to provide support for
low income families in our Children’s Center, which provides care for
children Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
October – Blanket Sunday supports the purchase of blankets and shelter
for refugees and the homeless.
November – Chester County Prison Ministry helps purchase literature and
Bible studies for inmates.
December – Africa University provides scholarships to help students attend
a United Methodist college and graduate school that serves thirteen
African Countries. |
