United Methodist Women

We are a community of women whose main purpose is to know God, develop supportive fellowship and expand our mission outreach. In support of these goals, we provide monthly programs, special mission studies, retreats, and other spiritual enrichment opportunities. 

We seek to strengthen fellowship ties through smaller circles within our group as well as expanding fellowship ties to our larger community through District and Conference UMW or mission events.

 

Upcoming Events

United Methodist Women General Meeting - Tues., Sept. 4, 6:30 PM - We welcome all women to join us for our first regular Fall UMW meeting. The evening begins with a Salad Supper (bring your favorite one). It is also "Bring-a-Friend/Guest Night" so we look forward to many new fellowships and acquaintances. If you can't make it to the supper, come at the regular time of 7:30PM and learn about a local program benefiting children and families touched by HIV/ AIDS, Camp Dreamcatcher, as presentedby Ms. Kathy Hrenko. UMW offers learning, fellowship and spiritual growth with our "focus" on benefiting women and children, thus, benefiting the world. No reservation is needed. Let us know if you need a ride. United Methodist Women District Day Apart - Wed., Sept. 12, 9:30AM-2:00PM - Camp Innabah Each year, the District UMW Team sponsors a "Day Apart" at Camp Innabah. This is a one-day inspirational retreat with this year's focus by Rev. Alice Ann Bonham on "One in the Spirit." The cost is $7.00 which includes a delicious lunch prepared by the Camp staff. Plan to "ease into the Fall" with this retreat day. We will carpool. Call Eleanor Kalligonis (610-701-0985) by September 3 to register.

Fall Dinner/Bazaar - Sat. Oct 27  - Be sure to set aside Saturday, October 27, for the Annual United Methodist Women's Fall Dinner/Bazaar. Enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal and your choice of desserts. In addition, there will be gifts and crafts, a cheese wheel, and many other items displayed for purchase.

 

UMW Circle Meetings

If you're looking for a close fellowship group of like-minded Christian women, we welcome new members to any of the UMW Circles. September schedules are listed below. Monthly meetings are held at various times and places and include programs of the Circle's choosing. Call one of the Circle Leaders below or, if none of the times listed fit your schedule, give Eleanor Kalligonis a call (610-701-0985) and let's talk about starting another circle group.
