We Seek to be More Like Christ

PASSIONATE SPIRITUALITY

Image goes here.

Passionate spirituality exists when faith is lived out with commitment, fire, and enthusiasm. It is the conviction that God can make a difference and the energy to make it happen.

A person who is living out their faith in the world with commitment, passion, and enthusiasm will often be smiling and happy. They walk the walk and just do what the gospel requires. They are positive and caring and practice a daily prayer life. If our church were filled with people who are passionate spiritually we would be overflowing with people. We would be alive with energy, diverse and united in love, and at work in the community.

OBSTACLES TO PASSIONATE SPIRITUALITY

Our people are very clear about what blocks our growth as passionate, spiritual Christians. Time and the setting of priorities throughout our week . Some of us are afraid to become more like Christ, because it would result in such a drastic change of life-style. And some of us are just plain lazy.

So what can our people do as individuals and as a church to increase our passion in the Spirit? We can pray more. And study the Bible daily. And make our spiritual life a priority. What can our church do? Well, many people left this answer blank or said we are doing plenty already, all our folks need to do is get involved.

CHURCH HEALTH TEAM

Our Church Health team is studying our results even now, and in consultation with our Natural Church Development consultant, Dr. Royal Speidel, is creating a strategy that will help us grow, grow spiritually and naturally grow in numbers as a worshiping and serving community. We know that no matter how many quality programs our church offers, how many local and international ministries are supported, our church will not have the impact that we were created for if all of our hearts are not ablaze for Jesus Christ.

Passionate Spirituality is the way members actively live out their faith and commitment with fire and enthusiasm and share it with others. How healthy is your spiritual heart? Let’s grow in Christ, together, in the year ahead.
